The EU Settlement Scheme

The EU Settlement Scheme

The EU Settlement Scheme was set up by the Government to allow people from the EU, EEA and Switzerland to keep certain rights after the UK leaves the EU on the 30th of June 2021.

Applications to the EU Settlement Scheme have now closed. The deadline was the 30th of June 2021. The government will allow late applications if you have a good reason for this, for example if you have a serious medical condition and needed additional support to apply, or because you did not have internet access or were not aware of the deadline. Please contact us at deafPLUS for help to understand your rights and responsibilities and for help to apply.

Please read the rest of the sections to find out more information about what the EU Settlement Scheme is.
